RICHMOND — Eight small businesses in the downtown and Historic Depot District areas were selected for COVID-19 relief funding in round one of a program being done through a partnership between the city and Center City Development Corp.

In May, city officials announced they and Center City had won a $250,000 grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs through the federal COVID-19 Response Program that would make up to $10,000 available to qualifying businesses.

There were 21 applicants in the first round, and eight were selected to receive funds. Those include:

  • Corner Cafe at The Leland, $10,000
  • Roscoe's, $10,000
  • Ullery's Homemade Ice Cream, $10,000
  • Cruise Adventure and Travel, $10,000
  • Little Sheba's, $10,000
  • The Firehouse BBQ & Blues, $10,000
  • The Two Sisters: Books & More, $5,000
  • The Cordial Cork, $10,000
