LAFAYETTE — New coronavirus cases in Indiana increased by 635, according to data released Monday by the Indiana State Department of Health.

That's a drop from the weekend's statewide tallies of 927 new cases reported in Sunday's release of information and 847 new cases from the data released on Saturday.

Statewide, there have been 57,206 Hoosiers who tested positive for COVID-19 as of Sunday.

With the increase in new cases, Indiana also reported on Monday that three more Hoosiers died from the virus, bringing the death toll to 2,632.

In Tippecanoe County, 11 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Monday's release of data. That was the largest of the 10-county area that the Journal & Courier has reported on since March, but it is smaller than the previous two days which combined to give Tippecanoe County an increase of 50 new cases.
Indiana has seen an uptick in new cases.
