MUNCIE — The Delaware County Health Department reported three additional cases of coronavirus Thursday, and three additional deaths. This brings the county totals to 316 cases and 27 attributed deaths.

The most recently confirmed cases as of Thursday's announcement include one woman over the age of 40, one woman over 50, and one man over 50. The three newly reported deaths were among previously identified cases associated with local long-term care facilities.

Local health officials said six of the coronavirus cases are currently hospitalized.

According to the state's COVID-19 dashboard, the county has seen 3,407 tests administered in Delaware County.

Earlier this month, the Indiana State Department of Health began assuming responsibility for case investigation and contact tracing throughout Indiana. This role was previously managed by local health departments.
