A mild winter has helped keep several construction projects at Indiana University on schedule, including the university’s newest residential building, the Third & Union apartments.

Tom Morrison, vice president for capital projects and facilities, said the weather has enabled workers on another project — the Jacobs School of Music Studio Building — to make up for delays encountered with rock excavation at the Third Street and Jordan Avenue site.

Together, the two buildings are envisioned to significantly enhance the southeastern “gateway” to the Bloomington campus.
