Richmond city officials are moving ahead with plans to build a technology park on the city’s far-northwest side.
They will ask the Richmond Redevelopment Commission this week for certified technology park money to purchase 14 acres at 1400 and 1500 Industries Road. The land, at the corner of Industries Road and Williamsburg Pike, is the former Dana property and contains two buildings, said Richmond Mayor Sally Hutton.
"We are going to start the process to establish a tech park and are excited to get this part of the project going,” Hutton said. “We have people interested in creating new start-up businesses there but no commitments yet.”
