MUNCIE -- The Muncie Redevelopment Commission wants to expand the tax increment financing (TIF) district in downtown Muncie.

The commission has drawn a proposed new boundary around an area where it hopes development will take place.

"There is nothing set or definitely planned by the commission in the new area," commission Director Bruce Baldwin said. "It's just that it would be a good idea to expand the boundary to capture new increments if they materialize."
